Maison Ferrand has always had a very close relationship with the best rum producers in the Caribbean. All thanks to the sale of barrels in which the best cognacs from the Pierre Ferrand family matured for years. These barrels have always been highly appreciated by rum producers who used them to mature their liquors. During these transactions, Alexandre Gabriel had the opportunity to discover some very old batches of rum with unusually rich and complex flavors.

Available in small quantities, they were intended both for private cellar masters purposes and for giving character to mixed rums. Under these circumstances, a decision was made to start bottling selected rums in rare vintage series. And so the Plantation Collection was born.
