Pierre Ferrand Cognac is one of the oldest producers of cognac, the roots of which date back to the 18th century (according to various sources, the brand was established either in the year 1702 or in the year 1792). The sixth largest producer in the region and owns 120 hectares of vineyards in the most prestigious Grande Champagne appellation.

The production of Pierre Ferrand Cognac is based on the grapes of the Ugni Blanc variety. The office and headquarters of this company are located in the 18th-century Chateau de Bonbonnet in Ars in the so-called Golden Triangle of the Grande Champagne appellation.

In the year 1989, Alexandre Gabriel took over Maison Ferrand, a 23-year-old chap who took Pierre Ferrand straight. The quality of the final product undoubtedly helps in this - after all, these cognacs are made 100% of grapes from the Grande Champagne appellation, distilled in small, 25-hectolitre stills and aged in specially adapted cellars in 270-liter oak barrels from the Limousin forest. Additionally, the average age of the youngest distillates is 10 years, and the oldest - 70 years. And the unmistakable Renegade Barrel, a limited distillate also aged in chestnut wood.
