The Greenall's gin brand has been around for over 250 years. The recipe was created in the year 1761 by Thomas Dakin and has remained unchanged to this day. In the meantime, only 7 generations of major distillers have become fully acquainted with it - now Joanne Moore is the one. Two gentlemen, Clive McGrath and Jason Prescott, oversee the distillation process.

Greenall's closely guarded mysterious gin recipe is based on eight classic botanists, the main one being of course juniper. Distillation takes place in Copper Still type stills with neutral grain spirit and water sourced from the foothills of the local Cheshire plains. The distillery that produces Greenall's Gin is located in the small town of Warrington on the West Bank of England, on the River Mersey.

It is worth noting that the Warrington distillery produces 2 other versions of Greenall's gin - Wild Berry Pink Gin (wild blueberry based) since the year 2014 and Blueberry Gin (blueberry based) since the year 2019. Both "flavor" versions are completely sugar-free. Both the rich history of Greenall's gin and its undeniable high quality meant that in the year 2018 the G&J Greenall's distillery was awarded the title of Producer of the Year at the International Spirits Challenge.

Currently, the Greenall's brand belongs to the Quintessential Brands Group, operating since the year 2011, which brings together various dependent companies producing various types of alcohol. The group's portfolio includes gins (apart from Greenall's also Opihr or Bloom), Irish whiskey and creams, and French liqueurs.
