Gran Duque De Alba

The history of the brand's creation is like a romantic story that takes us back to the year 1877. That's when Alexander Williams, a wine connoisseur at one of the export companies, falls in love with Jerez resident Amy Humbert. Due to the lack of prospects for development and improvement of living conditions, Alexander decides to establish Bodegas Williams & Humbert with his brother-in-law.

In the year 1945, Jacobo Fitz-James Stuart y Falcó was treated to a new, unique brandy during a visit by a friend of the Medina family, managing The Seventh Duke of Alba. The creators wanted to name the drink after him, but he suggested the title of his ancestor - Great Duke of Alba, Fernando Álvarez de Toledo y Pimentel.
