Finlaggan

Home / Portfolio / Finlaggan

On the west coast of Scotland, there is the small island of Islay. This island was once the home of the Lords of Isles. This whisky takes its name from the ruins of the mysterious Finlaggan Castle, the home of the rulers of three small islands (primarily Eilean Mor) lying in the small lake Loch Finlaggan. Those castle ruins are one of the secrets of the island of Islay, as is the name of the distillery from which Finlaggan whisky comes.

This information is closely guarded and known only to a select few. What we do know for sure is that this whisky reflects the true smoky nature of the island flavors. Smoky sweetness is intertwined with medical tones that give the taste an earthy and spicy tones that remain in the mouth for a long time.
