Black Ram

VP Brands International is a Bulgarian company based in Plovdiv and dealing in the production of wines and spirits. Since its inception in the year 1939, the scope of its activities is focused primarily in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, while its range is much larger and covers well over 80 different countries. It is worth mentioning that the company also operates in the agricultural, real estate and tobacco sectors, has 8 most modern production centers in Bulgaria, and its production capacity reaches 120,000 liters of alcohol per day.

The VP Brands portfolio includes, among others Flirt and Alaska vodkas, Sense gin, brandy, rakija, ouzo, wine and Black Ram blended whisky.

Black Ram Whisky ("Black Ram") is produced and bottled in Bulgaria at Vinprom Peshter's facility. The basic version consists of 3-year-old distillates aged in Bulgarian oak barrels in the vicinity of the Rhodope mountain range. It is this basic option that was awarded, among others with a silver medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition.

The Reserve version consists of malt and grain distillates that have been aged for at least 12 years. The portfolio of this brand also includes a strong honey liqueur based on the basic version of Black Ram with a strength of 35% ABV. It is worth mentioning that each version of Black Ram Whisky consists of over 30 imported distillates, 26 of which are malt and are diluted with crystal clear water from nearby mountain ranges before bottling.
